Didn’t realize my roof suffered hail damage in 6/18 until a door-door solicitor stopped by in 10/18. Together we filed a claim with my H/O insurance, approved immediately. Then he disappeared for 6 months. Reappeared in 4/19. We selected new shingle color, and he disappeared for another 2 mos. Finally took friend’s advice and signed with TREK Contracting (after pleading with first contractor to be relieved of previous commitment. TREK’s crew arrived in July (exactly when promised), at 7:30am, and by 12 noon had entire roof torn off and replaced. Very impressed! Moral: Door-door solicitors are the roofing equivalent of ambulance chasers. Always go with a trusted friend’s recommendation.
